Coder Kit CV-Z1.0 for Zeiss ZM Lenses
This is a demonstration store. You can purchase products like this from Leica Store Miami.
An innovative design solution provides digital Leica users with a simple method for temporarily adding Leica's lens code to any M mount lens, allowing the digital Leica to identify the lens type.
The Coder Kit CV/Z 1.0 includes our first D-Coder data wheel for Zeiss or Voigtlander lens owners. This data set will provide the best Leica equivalent lens code for the most popular Zeiss and Voigtlander lenses.
Leica, Cosina-Voigtlander, Zeiss, and other M mount lenses can be encoded with the M-Coder clip-on marking template, using the supplied marker pen. Choosing the lens code to use for a particular lens is a simple task using the D-Coder. With Coder Kit CV/Z 1.0, you can also select the Leica Lens Product Number from the D-Coder data wheel. The Lens Product Number will allow you to input this data into the M9 using the built in M9 software.
This encoding is temporary, and will not damage or permanently modify your lens in any way. On Voigtlander and Zeiss lenses, the temporary coding marks will remain for an extended period of time because of the slightly recessed area on which the 6 bit marks are placed.
The entire encoding system is stored in a convenient case, and available from us as the Coder Kit CV/Z 1.0.
