Outstanding ergonomics make vibration-free viewing possible even at high magnifications.
Because of its high twilight factor, you can still discern very fine details with the 12x magnification at the beginning of twilight. At night, the large exit pupil provides impressive image brightness at the 8x magnification setting.
The 8x magnification provides you with a good overview. By switching to the 12x magnification, you can then get really close to your subject and examine fine details - and that with astounding sharpness and color fidelity.
